Foreign Mind (WordClicker)

You wake up in a bathroom, seemingly in control of your body for the first time in weeks. Will you find back to your humanity or become its downfall?

 

About the game

This sequel to "Foreign Skin" was supposed to come out right on the following Halloween, but I missed it by... *looks at calendar* ...almost 5 years. :D

The setting is science fiction now and it's about humanity vs. artificial intelligence somehow. AI is on everybody's mind nowadays, so it might not be bad that this story came out a "little" late.

This time, I could not resist the temptation to see what kind of gameplay mechanisms I could create with my little story markup language. So expect a bit more gameplay loops than just clicking something to get to the next paragraph.

I am still unsure if this is the way to go, so the next story might return to the good old way... or might be something inbetween.

The game itself is part of the main game, so there is no need for an additional download. See the link below to download the package containing all WordClicker games.

The story file is in the "Stories" subfolder. You can have a look at the markup and can even write your own story and put it there.

 

Controls

Just click the highlighted words to advance. The following keys have additional functions:

ESC - Return to story selection / Quit game 
P - Take screenshot
S - Save bookmark
L - Load bookmark
R - Restart story
SHIFT - Speed up transition
SPACE - Jump (just kidding)

 

There are 7 endings to the story.  Will you be able to find them all?

Warning

The story "Foreign Mind" contains blood & gore and is potentially not the best bedtime story for your toddlers.
